• Sports Facilities

  Most bases have plenty of room for you to get out and play sports or intramurals. Depending on the base, you’ll find tennis, basketball, racquetball, squash, softball fields, soccer fields, football fields and even paintball fields.

  Billiards, console games, computers, Wi-Fi, table tennis, pinball, arcade games, chess, snacks, drinks, movie rooms — these are just a few of the things you might find at Recreation Centers to help you unwind after a day of work.

• Rec Camp

  Head out for a day at the lake without having to bring all the gear. Just rent everything you need, from ski boats and kayaks to fishing poles and tents. Every base is different, but there’s almost always a place for you to get out and get some fresh air.

• Equipment Rental

  Planning a snow skiing trip but don’t have skis? Just rent a pair from the Equipment Rental facility. In fact, you can rent just about anything you need, from snowboards to lanterns, for any outdoor activity.

• Golf Course

  Some of the best golf courses around the world are on Air Force bases. They’re open to all military personnel and families and are much cheaper to play on than most municipal and private courses.

• Intramural Sports

  Intramural sports are common at Air Force bases. Whether it’s a unit soccer team or a bunch of friends putting together a basketball team, there’s an intramural sport for you.

• Movie Theater

  When you’re in the Air Force, your local movie theater is often on base, and it’s always cheaper than the theater in town. Our theaters show first-run movies and occasionally have special screenings for free.

• Bowling Alley

  Friends, families and leagues all make use of the bowling alleys found on many Air Force bases. You’ll find everything at our lanes that you’d find at any other: balls, shoes, a pro shop and a snack bar.

• Swimming Pools

  There’s nothing quite as refreshing as a swim in a pool. There are pools on most bases around the world, and they’re open to Airmen and their families and friends.

• Stables

  Believe it or not, some bases have horse stables on or near base. Each facility is different, but most offer English and Western riding, jumps, trails, boarding, lessons and veterinary services.
