Career Tasks
- Restore debilitated dentitions caused by tooth loss or pathologic wear
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans of patients with complex, multidisciplinary needs, followed by restoring function, aesthetics and stability using fixed, removable and implant-supported prostheses
- Use the latest technology with the most up-to-date computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacture, all-ceramic equipment
- Direct the specialty’s services for a clinic as well as provide professional guidance to in-house dental laboratories
- Provide consultation services to the general dentistry staff
- Perform mentor responsibilities through assignment at one of the Air Force’s training programs (AEGD-1, AEGD-2 or prosthodontics residency) accredited by the American Dental Association/Commission on Dental Accreditation
