- Optimize the health of the Air Force and Department of Defense community through a broad scope of jobs using population-based preventive medicine
- Epidemiology and surveillance, development and fielding of population health programs, operational support to training bases (e.g., recruits), health services support and policy development for the Air Force Surgeon General
- Clinical informatics, research, academic preventive medicine, health promotion program and policy development
- Opportunity to deploy on humanitarian missions, be assigned as an international health specialist, train at the Epidemic Intelligence Service at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or participate on DoD-level population health management efforts
