Career Tasks

  • Perform various administrative tasks
  • Prepare patients with ear, nose and throat (ENT) problems for medical examinations and procedures
  • Screen patient records, take medical histories and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of common ENT problems
  • Conduct various types of hearing tests, assist in evaluation of patients for hearing aids, make ear mold impressions and fit hearing aids
  • Make microscopic examinations of special surgical instruments and maintain specialized surgical packs for each type of surgical procedure
  • Check specialized clinic equipment and ensure that the equipment operates properly
