Healthcare Professional

The men and women of the Air Force, along with their families, need every kind of care imaginable – including orthodontics. As an Air Force Orthodontist, you’ll provide that care using the latest equipment and techniques you use in your practice today. What you won’t do is worry about overhead, managing a business or dealing with insurance companies.

Career Tasks

  • Examine, diagnose and treat irregularities and malocclusions of teeth and malrelations of jaws
  • Direct orthodontic services and interpret radiographs, models and clinical photographs to determine the nature and extent of deficiencies
  • Coordinate orthodontic services with other dental and medical services, prepare diagnostic and treatment records and instruct dental officers and technical assistants in orthodontic procedures and techniques
  • Provide consultation services
