Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN)
Minimum Education Requirement: M.D. or D.O. degree and completed an ACGME- or AOA-accredited program of postgraduate specialty training.

In the Air Force, you’ll care for patients with the aid of capable staff, the latest equipment and without the hassles of running a business or carrying malpractice insurance. Your only concern will be providing the best care possible.
Career Tasks
- Care for pregnant women
- Provide prenatal and postnatal care as well as perform deliveries
- Diagnose and treat disorders of the female reproductive system
- Provide specialty care to active-duty and retired members as well as their families
- Provide medical and surgical treatment for disorders while working with other highly qualified OB/GYN physicians, midwives and nurse practitioners
