Career Tasks
- Provide services to promote and maintain optimal mental health, manage mental and physical disorders and diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential mental health problems
- Work with individuals, families, groups and communities to assess mental health needs, develop diagnoses and plans and implement and evaluate nursing care
- Monitor patients undergoing detoxification from alcohol and drugs and assist in planning, providing and evaluating comprehensive mental health services and support
- Conduct and use nursing research to improve healthcare delivery
- Manage inpatient care units, provide case management and work with members in the deployed setting
